Centrifugal disc finishing machines
On these machines, the workpieces and the grinding material are added loosely into a container which is open at the top and has a plate-shaped base which causes a torus-style tumbling effect. The centrifugal force flings the workpieces and the grinding elements against the stationary aerodynamic inner wall of the plate-based working bowl. In doing so, the workpiece and grinding elements perform a relative movement as a result of their different density. This dynamic flow enables high, targeted material erosion in very short processing times compared to vibrators or drums.
