Vibrators
With this process, the workpieces and the grinding material are added loosely into a container which is open at the top (trough). The items are then oscillated through an imbalance in weight, which forces them into a screwing or annular torus-like movement (long trough or round trough). Because of their different density, the workpiece and grinding media perform a relative movement, particularly during the negative amplitudes, which enables material erosion. Vibrators are universal mass finishing machines, which can be used for a variety of workpieces and processing objectives that might otherwise lead to problems with drum and centrifugal grinding. They are particularly suitable for value-for-money high polish finishing of extremely sensitive workpieces, such as from rough pre-grindings up to the preparation of surfaces ready for electroplating.
