Zinc diecasting parts

Remove sprues and deburr

The removal of sprues and overflow beans for small zinc die castings often takes place in knock-off drums.

The removal of the mould burrs is usually carried out afterwards, e.g. by blasting or mass finishing.

The removal of sprues and overflow beans for small zinc die castings often takes place in knock-off drums. The removal of the mould burrs is usually carried out afterwards, e.g. by blasting or mass finishing.

Today, the combination of sprue removal with the deburring of the zinc diecasting parts is possible with the automatic drum systems ADM. The parts are moved against each other in the drum under program control in such a way that the sprues break and the burrs are removed. To separate the sprues from the parts, a screening machine is installed downstream of the drum system.

By adding adsorbing additives and spraying in cleaner during the drum processing, residues of separating aids can be removed that interfere with further processing.

You can find more information in our brochure Drum systems.
